Neither do I! LOL Lets enjoy the ride together!
Cheers! Melissa

Hey, Holly, hugs. Going to answer you on the main because the other only fits so much.
Yes, still alive here, but most time is spent working or recovering from work. Summer was busy, an event to vend or do psychic readings (one fair I did 38 and was a zombie for three days,) for every weekend except one I think, don't remember. Just that it's been swamped. Not all of them till recently have been satisfying, but in this economy you work your ass off for what you can get, right?
Beyond that it's been tough, and to write about most crap continually hitting would not be a help; just don't have the time...which really means the emotional resources for it. The fortitude. I'm not just scraped out because that happened two years ago at least. Don't really know what at this point could describe it except I've nothing to give anyone at all, can't take any more, thus another reason beyond exhaustion of life and work I'm unable to connect with friends like you, Shawno, the rest no matter I'd love to. The title 'pathetic' may work. No problem with me. Still, one thing I'm not doing is rolling over and dying, thank you very much.
To keep 'swinging', digging in my stubborn ass and holding on is just too basic a part of my nature. If nothing else life has proven that for damn sure.
But at any rate, now that fall is here the load may lighten some because the festivals are mostly done so we'll see. Of course I'm just blowing smoke with that because fall, the pre-onset of the holiday selling season as well as need to 'winterize' brings it's own load. As well as E and I have PLANS, goals to be reached to get things back on track, a brighter future on the horizon. Know it's there, can see it (hell, damn near smell and taste it as well!) because it's Right There, just a matter of putting all these building blocks we've been busy, sweating and bleeding to making, gathering them up and building our bridge across the gap to reach it.
Ta-da.
Still in the same place, (can't go there. Sorry, it's just too much,) currently waiting for the police to arrive so we can file a complaint report because we just discovered a squatter's nest...in the back of our old truck. Parked only twenty feet from the house in our driveway and not paid much attention to; pretty leaf and dust covered (lots of construction across the street for the past two months; dust clouds blowing constant, need to keep windows closed,) but after we saw someone 'skulking' around last night this morning we checked the place out. Lifted the back and ugh, the smell! But bedding and clothes, smelly socks and chip bags were there to great us.
Surprise.
Okay, we feel like crap because from signs, little 'off' things we've been noticing, though he may not have stayed there every night it's clear we missed it for at least two weeks. Basically since the college kids came back, which is what most likely drove him out of where he was before. Guy's a real expert at it, quiet, sneaky, though still not quite there because we've found a few things left around. Basically we thought it was the returned college kids who left a sweat- and T-shirt on one of our chairs in the back yard because it happened same night as their annual 'We're Back!' drunken bash and they were drunk and tromping everywhere all up and down and through the streets and neighborhood. Again, its SOP to find their leavings everywhere and would hardly be the first time their 'party' spilled into our backyard. Empty beer bottles, kegs, and as said in the past, lumps of shit complete with toilet paper 'flags' are just normal dander left by the college kids. Back yard, driveway, sidewalk, bushes, parking lot, middle of the street—all normal.
What wasn't was the pair of gourmet soup cans, unopened, found sitting in the driveway a couple days ago. So okay, we've been inundated and slow based upon fact of that and missed the signs due to the college kids' usual...
Okay, the officer just arrived and did his thing. Great guy, smiling and down to earth decent with humor to boot. Poor guy because the bag that was first thing yanked out of our truck was at the bottom of our trashcan under the, ahem 'stinky' little futon, blanket and dirty laundry. Ah well, dirty job but someone had to do it. Once he had the rubber gloves on we assured him it was fine to just pull the big plastic bin over and yank thing out onto the driveway. Just lifting the lid and he was 'whew!'. Told him if he really wanted to smell something he should have been there when we opened the sealed windowed truck back. He said no thanks.
Now this is interesting. Clearly the velour satchel was a woman's, my initial thought was stolen, only it was full of local health clinic pills, (prescription dated a month ago,) another unmarked bottle of other pills and a homemade 'phone book' all belonging to a woman with name on it. The officer called it in and the lady has a caseworker at the clinic so he's bringing her medication there. An appointment card said she's supposed to be there on the 27th. So what is the deal here because it was clearly a guy last night, and when E yelled out the window at him he acted like he was just taking a piss. Not. So whether we've a couple, caught a 'visitor' or someone who stole or was there to buy pills we just don't know. Main worry now is that since the nest has been found and there's no need for 'subtlety' anymore we could get broken into.
Sighs.
Moving on to my website URL disaster screw-up. (Whee.)
My service was about to expire, and since the registry company I worked with was waaay too expensive, (got it years back when there were fewer options,) I was going to go with another company we've worked with who are just as good and a third of the price. They also have 30% off sales a lot. Money needs to be watched close so I waited two weeks for one of the sale emails. Got it, only when I tried to sign up I was informed my URL was not available. I am like WTF?! Who the hell took my name as their URL? Not like it's a simple Ann or anything, right?
Well, turns out that soon as one (URL) that has been used becomes available it is sold randomly, by the bulk batch, to companies that just do that: buy URLs. This company is a Japanese one. My options now are to place a fucking bid on it when it becomes available again a year from now—if they feel like selling, or get a new URL. I feel very weird because in order to lock in my 'starting bid' of $59.00 I have to give this overseas company all my credit card info.
I think not.
Okay, it's my screw-up, know that. Am kicking myself royally, am crying and groaning for all the work I've put in—my banners are everywhere across book, artist and author sites and site-rings, blog and chatroom archives, link exchanges across the...well, it's years of work down the drain, both publicity as well as artistic because I drew those banners and animated the gifs from scratch...and none of it will bring people to me any more. Plus it's printed on my book jacket.
I'm fucked.
Ah well.
However, there is something I believe in to the core, and that is the concept of fertilizer. From basic herb to the most beautiful plant in the world, everything needs 'waste' to grow and bloom from. Without friction there can be no fire. Without need there is no need for evolution. The universal principle of Yin and Yang, Kali and Shiva: without destruction there is no growth. Perfection is where things end. Without hardship and struggle, when things are easy the result is no effort is required to do anything. The result of that is Stagnation. You end up with as well as becoming nothing. Devastation/destruction is good. Example of this is seen when we look at cities that have been blown to hell in one war or another. Like phoenixes rising from the ashes, those ones who got it the worst (Germany and Japane I'm talking about,) are now the most modern and efficient places in the world, buildings, transit, you name it. Countries that haven't been touched like the US here are grinding down, just doing 'patch jobs' to keep hold of what is no matter improvements are the smarter as well as more cost efficient in the long run route. No growth, just running a limited world gerbil wheel: stagnation of keeping the 'same old' because the kick in the ass need for effort isn't there.
Therefore, I am looking at this devastating disaster of mine. I am admitting that my name (old URL) is a hell of a one for people to remember, let alone spell. Need something 'catchier'. Yes, I could do a 'dot net' but...
Well, I need a couple more days to think this over, decide what to do. And typical of my own nasty—yet always on the Side of Light—nature, I am enjoying the fact that when I do rocket to fame I will be able to sue the fucking ass off of the ones who used My Name without permission, will look at royalties and thing back owed. Monetary compensations. (Note we have a great contact who goes to Japan often. A high-end corporate official business type. Therefore, bet ass I can do this.) Not to mention that as karma decrees, I will be sharing the experience of Devastation and Destruction with another so that they also will have the positive opportunity of renewing growth as I have been given. The experience of it. Mm-hmm, just doing my own little part to help the world and people where I can. Yup, I'm good with that.
Hmm, what else? Oh, yeah, also got married. Don't remember if that was mentioned here or not yet. Hell of a funny story, only on that note, I'm going to go get lunch because I'm crashing. It's been a real day so far and I imagine tonight is going to be more interesting so need to be fortified for it.
Cheers and hug to you, Holly, Shawno, Lady Wolfen Mist, Azodnem and the rest. Always.
Melissa
Just a quick note.
My website URL has been stolen. (Long story, don't bother asking.
) Am trying to get it back, yet in the meantime 'mjvivigatz.com' no longer takes you to my site.
Please change that main links to:
http://mvivigatz.homestead.com/home.html
Thank you
What can I say? 'Back' like this, yet it is the way to get word out to many, meaning those who have heard about the shooting that happened in our neighborhood yesterday that Emile and I are safe.
http://www.courant.com/community/news/mr/hc-web-wesleyan-shooting-0507.artmay08045212,0,603489.story
No, it did NOT happen in our bookstore, however, it was a block down from us on the same street, and we are between their books store and the campus itself, just across the street from us is a dorm complex. Needless to say we are not opening the shop today. Murdered not caught as well as he's a fixation on students of that campus? Un-uh, not us. Of course it doesn't bother the deli owner next door, he's open just fine. Typical.
It's like a ghost town out there, far different cry than yesterday. Whoa, what a thing to just happen to look out the window on that bright, spring day and see police officers running around with assault riffles twenty feet away and then go dashing around the child development center across the street, searching in and through the bushes lining it; a German Shepherd straining at the leash while two more officers are behind heading off in different direction...
Ahem. I quickly went and locked the front door.
Cruiser was set as roadblock in the street at the corner, and was something later to see a small car zip up, park illegal and a woman get out trying to get by the officer because her daughter also worked in the book store and she did not know if she was safe or not. Practically beneath our window, could hear as she was told the place had been evacuated; mother only knowing that her daughter had been standing right next to all the shooting; the relief felt coming off of her in a flood when learned she was alright.
Little kids running around in their yards along the Yellow Tape strung up, see the news vans come and set up cameras (next to our house) and start shouting how they want to be on TV! Some yelling at the crew to make them a 'movie star'.
Freaking surreal, man.
Okay, like said, I am sort of back, though still running through some emotional ringers here and it's hard as hell to break out of this shell built up to keep the pain and depressions of life out. Just can't deal with things; to talk about just has everything crashing down upon and welling up again; overwhelms, and any tiniest scrap of self gained back is ripped away, things raw and right there again. It's freaking pathetic, man, I swear, know it, still, sometimes you just have to burrow down and hibernate a while, cocoon yourself away. Heal, transform and come out the other side as something new.
I'm working on it.
Later peeps,
Melissa
Because I'm totaly wiped out. Especially since my entry just went poof again...grumbles.
Still, checking out our shop blog will give you an idea:
http://www.knightpeople.bravelog.com/index.php
Also, there's a reporter here for the local college's paper doing a piece on the shop at the moment so've got to dash.
Cheers folks!
Melissa (with finger crossed.)
Okay, I came across an article and learned about EA Game's Creature Creator program (free) last night so figured what the heck, I need a break! Therefore, I downloaded and spent a little me time to make this bugger. Pretty fun, you start with a flesh colored blob, grab and do what you want with the spine from stretch to mangle, add things like skulls, arms, legs, hands, claws, horns what have you, (again, all things twist and mangleable, hehe) play with a painter program and this is what I got.
Reason I took time out today to make the vid is because I'm feeling snarly. I JUST found out that some of my BUY NOW book buttons on my website were corrupted. Seems I had people who ordered my book and I never got an email about it!! I. e. orders went into a virtual black hole and I ended up with POed folks. Man, do I feel low right now. Ah well.
Still, doing something creative helped.
Now back to work!
Cheers,
Melissa
Blah, blah, blah, the latest is I'm going blind.
Okay, really trying to pull my shite together here so spent the WHOLE F'ING DAY yesterday trying to learn ebook compiler programs... Ahem. Well to make a LONG and horrendously technical story shorter I had to download some (several) HTML webpage builder software WYSIWYG (really, they are called that. Literally means "What You See Is What You Get" Sheesh!) programs and try to figure out THAT happy crappy too. Seems all files i.e. word and text documents need to be done in HTML or else ebook compilers can't read them.
Huh.
Okay, did that and ended up with a
loooong one page ebook because it doesn't recognize things like "next page" unless you hyperlink to a second HTML file.(Tapping some frustrated fingers by that point.)
Okay, did that. Meaning made a file for 2 pages, saved, made file for next 2 pages, saved, yada-yada etc...
Hmm, seems after your main index.html file you can't just title the next Page2, Page3, Page4...oh, you can, only when you get to Page10 the proggy reads "10" before "2" the one before two, right?
Thus my day from 10am to 8pm was spent thusly. From that point it was pull out an old favorite PC game POOL OF RADIANCE (a D&D thingy) and blast the bloody hell out of as well as chop up some zombies and other crawling beasties. Wonderful therapy, I swear
Too much though 'cause next time I looked around birds were singing and the sun was up. Yikes, 6:35am so time for bed.

Question was how to spend this day off? Well, went music surfing, found this great Gothe Belly Dancing CD called "Strange Flesh" and got a free tune from www.payplay.com though may get the whole thing soon. Got the "Black:: The Shroud" playing right now and it's pretty groovy.

A little blog time then think I'm going to get the demo for the next ebook compiler proggy to check out.
Details, details, details, bleck. Have to watch those things. I mean the little one I am testing is great, can host the finished ebook on your own website and generate PIN codes (so people can open it if it's not free) yourself...but this bigger proggy looks cool too. Only you buy it and you are stuck with their website for life. Not the hosting, but they are the ones who generate the PIN codes for YOUR books. Not too sure I like that, but it's still better then the ones who from there make you go to another company who are only ones can sell and let folks download your work.
Man, may hit that retirement bottle of Baileys I got...
Okay, better get cracking something today seeing it's 2pm.
Cheers till next time folks. Will try for interesting, only it's not very these days. Or better, keeping some stuff to myself a' bit. Too much energy drain to rehash by writing, better to get over and do something productive.
Laters!

HERBAL SMUDEG, SMOKES & SHAMANIC SUPPLIES PAGE
A shameless plug for our website and what I've been working on as well lately, but who gives a F, eh?
2nd time around since last one just went POOF!
Hi folks, just a quick peek out of my hole. Sorry, just been too busy and too tired to find energy to post. Also working on holding off one of those depression thingies. Ptooie!
Well, whatever. Just plugging away with work to IMPROVE and that helps. Have THREE WHOLE DAYS off starting tonight where we're even going to close early to go out to dinner with some friends.
Been house hunting again and hmmm, indeed, a couple possibilities, though one has really jumped to top of the list. Another built in the 1800 monster only THIS ONE WAS TAKEN CARE OF! Actually has things like walls, lol. 11 rooms (PLUS several bedrooms) solarium, fruit trees, 10 acres of woodlands...but we'll see. So much changing with economy and all that. Still, much, much, much research needs to be done as yet before we think what to do here...
Ugh, brain is shot, so going to just chill a bit till dinner.
Be back soon as can,
cheers,
Melissa

Whoa I'm back...whoa I'm drunk.
Okay, went out to dinner at this place called the Blue Oar, outside joint by the dock.
'Kay, was told be a little gathering of the gallery folks where I used to work...get there and get "Here's you retirement party, Melissa!"
Yikes!
Ursel, the wonderful lady and 2nd mother I used to work for goes okay, know it's been 25 years (almost) but no plaque. Got something for your tummy instead, and pulls out a huge bottle of Baileys. LOL!
For later, brought couple bottles of red vino and that's why I'm zooming now.
Couple shot (picts) for yas then I'm going to go walk into a wall or something...

CHEERS!

I tell you, what a thing it is when the only real, unbiased, and factual NEWS you can get is from Comedy Central. Yup, gods bless The Daily Show because everyone else out there is just a controlling tool for The Dictating Man & Machine.
Just HAD to share the show's clip on the choosing of Palin for Rep. VP.
Personally, OMGS, I just wish I could say this country wasn't stupid enough to fall for that move, but they are. 2 years in office (this somehow gives ALL the experience Palin needs after an elderly gent fighting cancer doesn't survive his term in office,) and already she's being investigated for abuse of power. Yikes! Come on, was just picked so he would be; for the benefit of McCain, not for the benefit of this country.
Someone put in a constitutional amendment in regards to Spin Doctors, PLEASE!
Okay, going to throw up now.
Cheers!
Melissa
Okay, just finished making the videos of our weekend vending Tibestfest IV in Goshen, CT, 2008.
Scenes from the event like the sand mandala making, making dough flowers, me giving some aura & chakra readings, people, an outside walk, the violent thunderstorm that ended the festival and some impromptu Tibetan music after the fest ended. Was great to watch as we all waited for the latest shower to pass and could continue packing up the car to go home.
Note that because we were vending these were brief forays. Typically, every time E left I got swamped by people. LOL
Cheers and enjoy,
Melissa
PART ONE
PART TWO
AFTER THE FESTIVAL - SOME MUSIC!
Uh-huh, yeah right. Well, 'vacation' or not it's over which means (drumrollll) MORE WORK!
ARGH!
Ah well, better to have then have not I suppose. Still, going to that gem and mineral show was great and no, still haven't gotten to pictures of my stuff, but eventually.
Last day of vacation was staying up till 4 am to take some videos of E playing for our http://www.templesounds.net site. Got some great stuff, here's just one of them:
Today it has been more photo shoots of tumbled stones and crystals for the website. Soon as camera battery recharges I have to dash and download to my laptop; select the good ones, resize, upload to website then do the HTML thumbnail codes for, um, think have 30 maybe for today. Ha, today and tonight and possible tomorrow on day off as well since am already blind. Dreary muggy-clammy overcast day where you just can't seem to get it in gear no matter what. Don't mind the work though because at least we're seeing results. Helps when you do as opposed to finishing and feeling like all your effort ended up in some black hole someplace, right?
Okay, sorry, know this is all boring, but at least I am trying to post. Something that won't leave me drained further at that, since actually thinking and going on a raging tangent on oh, say 'politics' just won't be doing me any good. Least right now. Whole world is just fucked royal due to having a majority population of moronic herd beast cattle, and let's leave it at that.
This video here is a brief highlight of our day participating in the Meiklem Kiln Works 4th Annual Holistic Fair...
And to round thing up, some morning glories blooming here in the living room amongst my baby mimosa tree. Was a great thing to wake up to and find as I lifted the shades.
Cheers all,
Melissa

Oh I am just so psyched, today being one of the Good Ones. Yup, not only did my loooong awaited little cigar darlings arrive, yet the CD containing one of my fav songs in fav version arrived as well (best $3.98 including ship & handling I ever spent) ALONG with just this moment finding the bastard for my free music player here at the blog. Ha, go figure, right?
Still, "Don't Fear The Reaper" acoustic version by GUS is here for all to share. Least as long as it's available.

Now I am off to kick back, smoke, drink and groove to tunes while the sun sets, the clouds glorious, a large thunderstorm just ending in time to view the whole, natural show.
Cheers gang,
Melissa
Uh-huh. Well, plan to enjoy it all the same. Try for some 'me time' when I can get it. Just put a post on my Pipester Blog, so came winging here next.
Had a great time Friday at the Gem & Mineral show. Both E and I got ourselves some goodies. (Picts to come later when I can see straight, ha.) A new wompin' piece of Sphalerite, a companion and helper to bring with me when I do chakra readings at shows, ets. A little spiked-ball critter, full sphere of crystals with touch of hemetite maybe since it's a rusty orange/red inside. Some more funky quarts crystals with light orange garnets growing over and inside and a really cool hunk of Carnelian, a shiva linham-type tumbled thing almost as long as my hand. Wonderful energies, very healing and just what was needed.
Bunch of stuff for the shop, tumbled stones by the pounds and can't wait to open the bags of sunstones, aquamarines and blue kyanites. Some green goldstone as well. Love green and my Aquarius nature just drools over things sparklie, hehe
Another piece, a pendent that E found and sorta pushed my into. A carved dragon's head made of fossilized ivory. Mammoth tusk with lots of sharp teeth. Very cool though, can't wait to wear. Other things for the shop, goddesses and dragons, wolves and mermaids. Going to be fun getting them on the web or at least smile when we re-open the shop and actually have new things to shop folks once again.
Will see how today goes though. yesterday was a BAD ONE. Art & Holistic fair was a total bust beyond some contacts made, still, it's the energies around here need to be dealt with. Now, I am not one to bitch about my significant others as so many are prone to do online here. Not fair really, because you only ever really hear one side of the story in those things, lack the true nature of the events and personalities involved. Lets just say I DO understand, know he's as burnt out as I am and his nature, only neither of us needed that full screaming and literally spitting rage tantrum he through at me yesterday morning as we drove to a day of work. As usual, I'll accept his apology, and as usual, knowing the principles, will just sigh knowing it will not keep the same thing happening again in the future. Ah well.
Okay, it's 9:30am and I am wiped out totally, just sitting here slumped over with eyes barely cracked open. More soon.
Cheers,
Melissa
Well, a few at least. Sorry folks, but I am zonky and wonky tired and tending to drift, still, I'm determined to try.
Alright, my new baby, a DELL PRECISION M4300 LAPTOP...oh my gosh I am in LOVE!!!
15.4 inch monitor, power and speed up the ass, I mean man, I can even go to Shawno's www.gaycanuck.com website and not just crash, but actually have everything load as well!
Some specs are as follows:
Dell Precision M4300 Intel® Core ™ 2 Duo T9300 (2.50GHz) 6M L2 Cache, 800MHz Dual Core
LCD Panel Options 15.4 IN WIDE WUXGA Anti-Glare LCD Panel
Memory 4.0GB, DDR2-667MHz SDRAM, 2 DIMMS
Internal Keyboard Internal English Keyboard
Graphics NVIDIA Quadro FX 360M, 512MB Turbo Cache memory (256 dedicated)
Hard Drives 200GB Hard Drive, 9.5MM, 7200RPM (Free Fall Sensor) (Meaning if it falls the hardrive closes to prevent damage.)
Operating Systems Genuine Windows Vista® Business Bonus-Windows® XP Professional loaded
Bluetooth Dell Wireless® 360 Bluetooth Module for Windows XP
Module Bay Devices 8X DVD+/-RW w/Roxio Creator™/Cyberlink PDVD™
Yup, TOTALLY KICK ASS...and despite it being a workstation, the Quadro graphics card beats out the desktop's NVIDIA Gforce...which is almost a shame because now I am spending hours playing Black & White 2, which I really shouldn't, so many other things to do, only swear gods I need something to help me 'escape' these days...
Anyhows, note I have WINDOWS XP PRO so ALL my old proggies and externals work, which means the Aura/Chakra video station works fantastic. 4 USB PORTS and 2 of them are POWERED so no more struggling at shows running the Chakra station without a mouse, only using the touchpad, real bennie in itself right there
And the screen, NO GLARE AT ALL, not even with a lamp right here so when it comes to spending hours writing there is no strain...ha, now all I need is a new pare of glasses since these ones are so scratched up the right lens has to be looked out the top to get past the central patch of 'frost-smear'. Well, next purchase I'm sure.
Started this baby right as well. Got AVG anti virus/spyware program. No F'ing monster Norton ever again! http://www.grisoft.com/ if you want to check it out. Totally recommended because it does not interfere with anything. (Swore over that bastard N for years, even programmed to ALLOW ALL it still asked every time I tried to open my website managing program if I wanted to do it, no matter it recommended that I did. Had to close and re-open three times for it to work. Norton, go take a flying leap.) AVG is the one people in the know use, like when we used to call up tecks at HP it is what all of them seemed to use both at work and home. Same with internet cafes throught Nepal, etc...
I'm out of my Bandido cheroots...oh gods, the tragedy! (BTW my new keyboard is sealed, which yes, still means I should not let cigar ash fall on it, but there is only so much I can do, hehe.) Been backordered for a month now, sign of the times. Sighs.
Just about to 'take some time off' (yeah, right.) Mm-hmm, another working vacation ahead starting this weekend with our annual major gem & mineral tradeshow buying spree (sighs, if only) though just going will be fun in of itself. Go on Friday or Sunday, since Saturday we'll be vending at an Art & Holistic outdoor health festival in Bozra CT. (See last year's post somewhere about that.) the next Sat. Emile is doing a private psychic party at some people's house, and the weekend following that it will be vending at the CT Astrological Societies psychic fair. Uh-huh, typical 'vacation' planned here. During all this of course will be more work on the house, though even before that it is finishing E's book on Tibetan singing bowls. I'll be doing the editing...
In light of that as well as my own stuff, I've just this moment before posting gotten myself an E-Book Creating program. (Since I now have a laptop that doesn't rattle or take 20 minutes just to start up!) Been looking at a couple, got the full working free trial for this one, though for under $50 bucks it looks to be easy as well as comes with all the bells and whistles the more complex ones just starting at $100.
|
Okay lets see... Ah, this past Sunday's Psychic Fair went great. Was lots busier then imagined, only man, have to somehow recover in time for this weekend's activities.
Spending some time getting some new free tunes at www.payplay.com, some nice traditional Japanese pieces for background while writing and others. Have gotten E into the place so he is surfing their Jazz section. (Oh yeah, got myself some Hammon organ Jazz to kick back to as well.
)
Made one little treat purchase for myself, the Torchwood DVD series which should come in next week as well as a used (for a buck) CD. Soundtrack to the flick SCREAM only for one tune, which is Don't Fear The Reaper performed by GUS. ULTIMATE version as far as I am concerned and again, can't wait to load it into the laptop and kickback. Love music and the emotions such inspire.
Been finally getting to the editing of STEVEN'S STORY and that may be my first E-Book attempt. Still haven't gotten to the Tib. Festival's video from the weekend before last, but maybe during my 'vacation'. Ha!
Possibility of a new kitty soon, both E and I are tired of the silence in this empty mostly boxed-up burg. Go to the pound though, rescue someone, though man, no one can replace Timber or miss Jinx. Again though, it should be like that. Individual family members, right? Right. Well, we'll see.
Ugh, been getting 'nudges' to post at my pipester blog and I actually have some beefs to let out (tooth drilled through a stem) but save that for later. Feeling blind so may go lay down a bit.
All for now, hugs and cheers all around,
Melissa
Hey folks,
Well I am BACK ONLINE!!! with new pc
Still no time to catch up yet though, just did a 2 day ventding festival over the weekend Tib*t F*st (so no search engines find me due to that. Long story about what hapened last year yikes) and now here it is Tuesday and I'm still wiped out, just had to cancel a dinner party with friends from the gallery I've not seen in months. Migrain and nausia (spelling) and dizzy to boot.
Anyway, will catch up soon, only, hum, anyone know what happened to my tagboard messages? Grr, hope this thing hasn't been hacked again... Still pissed off royal about that bugger who banned a bunch of my fav buddies IP addresses that time...
Okay GTG lay down again, Be Back soon as i can,
Melissa
Well we are taking the day off but it sure doesn't feel like it, whew!
Just finished working on our KNIGHT PEOPLE BOOKS & GIFTS BLOG so if you want to take a peek feel free. Has some pretty pictures on it of crystals and stuff.
Whew, started at 10:30 am yesterday and didn't stop till 8:40 pm that night yesterday ALL of it website work and I still feel blind. Taking photots, resizing, uploading and a hell of a lot of thumbnail pop-up HTML crap...not to mention write-ups. Worse (the cross-eyed-ness,) since I am still researching new computers. *Bangs head against the wall* Man, I hate reviews, because for every fantastic "You HAVE to get one today!!!" one there is an equal, and opposingly viscous "Keep the &%$^#@ away!!!" one to match.
Sighs.
Still, have to get something soon, (like order today probably,) need a working laptop for our Tibetan festival coming up at the end of this month. Figuring build and shipping and then uploading/getting the chakra station working time...yikes.
Today I have been scoping out the Dell Vostro lines...and quite frankly, I'd rather be having fun writing! Something I hope to get to next...if I can see. Whew!
And on that note, I've just had a big plug of cigar ash plop everywhere, my poor laptop and my leg...yup, next one definitely needs an enclosed keyboard or a protector of some sort. Incredible what this little Compaq Presario V2000 has withstood...
Oh well, on that note I am off, maybe to take a nap.
Cheers and be well, folks,
Melissa
Today's selection: Some Bob Dylan!
